The All-New Hunu App

The Hunu App is an innovation of Anidaso Eye Centre focused on creating a sustainable and innovative solution to the burden of visual impairment and blindness; among children especially in rural communities in Ghana and Africa at large.

This new app was birthed out of a desire and passion to detect refractive errors at an early stage, to prevent progression and unwanted complications.

The creation of the app is under the Save a Sight Program (SaSP) and is currently in testing phase with some selected schools in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Teachers in these schools are being trained on basic eye health knowledge and how to perform basic ocular assessment procedures like checking visual acuity.
